Flash is software that provides interactive animation on the web. Whole interfaces and websites are sometimes built in flash. Though Flash is an eye catching feature on many websites, caution should be taken in its implementation for several reasons. Search engines are only now developing methods to index the content of flash files. Poorly implemented flash can be annoying to individuals seeking information quickly. While excellent at illustrating product features or providing entertainment, it has yet to be proven in its ability to convert visitors into customers.
